In partnership with The Finance Project and The Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED), the Promise Neighborhoods Institute will host two webinars highlighting the importance of financial planning and asset-building in Promise Neighborhoods. The information presented is intended to help Promise Neighborhoods grant applicants plan and prepare grant budgets, as well as incorporate financial education into the Promise Neighborhood framework. Although the webinars are directed toward grant applicants, the information presented may be helpful for any community looking to learn more about financial planning or developing asset-building initiatives.


Sustaining Community Revitalization: An Introduction to The Finance Project Toolkit (Monday, August 22nd; 3pm-4pm ET)


Using tools provided by The Finance Project, this webinar will provide communities with assistance in creating budgets, mapping funds and developing strategic finance plans for the Promise Neighborhoods grant applications, as well as their long-term sustainability plans.


Your Promise Neighborhoods Proposal: Incorporating Proven Strategies to Promote Children's Savings, Financial Access, and Financial Education
(Tuesday, August 23rd; 4pm-5pm ET)


Hosted by CFED, this webinar will highlight the importance of building community partnerships that promote asset building and financial education as an important factor in youth educational attainment. Specifically, this webinar will explore ways that communities can incorporate financial education and asset-building strategies into the Promise Neighborhood grant applications.
