Future Support for Promise Neighborhood Communities

Through the Promise Neighborhoods Institute, CSSP worked with PolicyLink and the Harlem's Children Zone (HCZ) to help communities prepare for and develop their Promise Neighborhoods Planning Grant proposals. We wanted to let you know that the Promise Neighborhoods Institute will continue to be a resource for communities seeking to meet the goals of the Promise Neighborhoods grant. CSSP is excited to be a partner with PolicyLink and HCZ in supporting this next phase of the Promise Neighborhoods movement.

As was just announced through the Promise Neighborhoods Institute, several resources will be available to communities, whether or not they receive a grant.

Post-announcement from the Department of Education, the Institute is planning to provide: 

• A re-launched website featuring high-quality technical assistance resources and tools
• Webinars on critical planning-year topics
• Virtual office hours with experts prepared to answer your questions
• Timely updates and news on our blog, Facebook, and Twitter pages

Additionally, the Institute will be rolling out a series of new resources available to all communities this month, including:

• An interactive map enabling you to connect with other Promise Neighborhoods planning efforts across America
• Discussion forums moderated by experts in the field
• A self-assessment tool to help communities identify their strengths, challenges, and technical assistance needs.

For the grantees and a core group of finalists, the Institute will specifically offer:

• An invitation-only intensive learning community
• Individualized support in assessing and strengthening your planning process
• A robust resource bank of high-quality technical assistance providers
• Invitation-only webinars on the planning process
