Webinar: Food Policy Councils

The recently launched Healthy Food Access Portal is hosting a webinar on food policy councils. Entitled "Food Policy Councils: Improving Healthy Food Retail in a City", the webinar will introduce participants to the concept of food policy councils and discuss examples of successful models from around the country, with a special focus on the experience of the Los Angeles Food Policy Council.

Presenters are scheduled to include:

• Mary Lee, Deputy Director, PolicyLink;
• Clare Fox, Strategic Initiatives Coordinator, Los Angeles Food Policy Council;
• Lindsey Day Farnsworth, Researcher, University of Wisconsin-Madison Community and Regional Food Systems Project, Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems.
