The Aspen Institute's Roundtable on Community Change recently released Voices from the Field III: Lessons and Challenges from Two Decades of Community Change Efforts. This resource has a collection of insights on best practices and challenges from twenty years of local practice to impact communities. Through this analysis, the book names five ingredients for success:
  1. Clarity abut mission, desired outcomes, and operating principles
  2. Intentionality in action
  3. Assessing and building capacity
  4. Effective management of partnerships and collaborations
  5. Learning and adapting along the way
