NeighborWorks America – an organizational leader in the field of community development – is hosting a Training Institute in New Orleans May 7th-11th. Similar to previous Institutes, the upcoming training will focus on several aspects of community development, including:
  • Affordable Housing
  • Asset Development
  • Resident Engagement
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Community Revitalization
The upcoming Training Institute includes symposium focused on the critical role of resident engagement in community development and revitalization initiatives. The event – From Surviving to Thriving: Communities Recharged by the Power of Resident Leadership – will bring together researchers, advocates and community leaders for a rich discussion about training strategies that can be used to build resident leadership and create partnerships with community leaders. This Institute is a great opportunity for community leaders and residents to build a professional network and learn more about the skills and strategies needed to make an impact in their own communities.
