Complete College America launched the Completion Innovation Challenge this week - a $10 million competitive grant program for states that will support efforts to increase college completion and close gaps in degree attainment. The competition invites governors from all 50 states to submit proposals to win one of ten $1million, 18-month implementation grants. Funding is provided through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
This opportunity to implement college readiness and completion strategies state-wide would have a significant impact on communities who are working locally to ensure students successfully finish post secondary degree programs. Communities that have been engaged in this work should utilize their success and relationships to connect with state government if interested in ensuring your state submits a proposal.
Detailed information on this grant opportunity can be found here.
