Recently, the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation (EMCF) announced a second round of Social Innovation Fund (SIF) Grants for organizations working to improve a variety of outcomes for youth. EMCF is anticipating making 3-5 grants of up to $2-5 million over the course of 2-3 years.

The SIF, a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service, seeks to use limited federal funding with support from grantmaking "intermediaries," such as EMCF, to support the expansion of nonprofits with strong evidence of success in one of a number of areas, including youth development. EMCF is looking to invest these federal resources and its own funds in nonprofits that are working to improve academic outcomes, reduce risky behavior, and increase employment among the hardest to serve young people from the communities of highest need.

Eligible applicants will be nonprofit organizations with a proven track record of directly serving young people between the ages of 9 and 24 for at least 3 years. Organizations winning grants will be responsible for securing the required one-to-one matching funds.

A technical assistance call for interested parties will be held on November 2. Applications are due by 8:00pm EST on November 20.
