Webinar: Healthy Food Financing

Later this month, the Healthy Food Access Portal will be hosting a webinar to discuss how to advocate for and implement healthy food financing initiatives. The webinar will use The Food Trust’s recently published Healthy Food Financing Handbook to discuss city, state and federal efforts in improving access to healthy foods.

The webinar will serve as a guide for communities on how to effectively advocate for the development of healthy food retail, as well as discuss how healthy food financing initiatives are administered by government agencies, community development financial institutions, and community-based organizations.

Presenters include:

• John Weidman, Deputy Executive Director, The Food Trust;
• Dwayne Wharton, Director of External Affairs, The Food Trust; and
• Caroline Harries, Senior Associate, The Food Trust.
