On June 21, the Department of Education posted on its Promise Neighborhoods page the following:

Timeline for FY 2011 Promise Neighborhoods Program (Updated June 21, 2011)

  • Our current goal is to have applications for Promise Neighborhoods available within 2-4 weeks and be due within 60 days of application release
  • December 31, 2011 is the deadline for the Department to make awards
For those interested, it's probably a good time to start checking the DOE Promise Neighborhoods page regularly for updates. We'll keep you posted as more information is available.
