The National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership (NNIP) just launched a new resource website. NNIP is a collaborative effort between the Urban Institute and local partners to help build the capacity of communities to collect data on neighborhood conditions. Information on the website includes examples of how NNIP partners are using neighborhood data (and national sources of neighborhood data such as the American Community Survey) to address community issues and lessons learned from cross-site projects that NNIP has been involved in. Visit the new website here.
Last year, as part of the Promise Neighborhoods Institute, CSSP helped to organize and host a webinar, Gathering and Using Data for Needs Assessment and Segmentation Analysis, to help communities think through how to collect the data needed to meet requirements of the Promise Neighborhood grant. Those who are working to think through how to use and collect data to improve neighborhood conditions and outcomes can listen to the full recording of the webinar here.
