The Department of Education (DOE) has released detailed information about the 2011 Promise Neighborhood applications. The data provides specific information about each of the 199 Planning Grant applicants and the 35 Implementation Grant applicants, including: the type of applicant, the absolute priorities addressed, the target schools, the partnering agencies and a brief description about the proposed Promise Neighborhood project. Each of the project descriptions outlines the immense need for cradle-to-career pipelines in the applicant communities, as well as the planning and implementation strategies.

The Promise Neighborhood grant awards are expected to be announced in mid-December. Please stay tuned to our blog for updates about the Promise Neighborhood program.
